Want/need a long straight corded power adapter

It's been more than a year since I purchased the R8w and still no long straight corded power adapter I can route around the windshield and to my car's power source. Why?

The RH11 plug catch is a cheap narrow catch and weakens too quickly.

The plug catch is a cheap narrow catch and weakens too quickly and will not stay plugged in to detector. It also eventually breaks. Otherwise good. Kudos for fast shipping.

R8 was not getting past laser at startup

R8 was acting funny so tried updating it. That worked for a couple days then thought about the cord shorting out due to age. Ordsred the new one and have not had anymore issues.
