It incorporates the HomePatrol database of all known radio systems in the USA and Canada. The True I/Q™ receiver provides improved digital performance even in challenging RF environments. The scanner also meets JIS4/IPX4 standards for water resistance. The SDS100 outperforms any other scanner in both simulcast and weak-signal environments.

With the zip code feature, I was able to start listening almost immediately. Sentinal was easy to use so I have had fun customizing what I listen to. I am still learning the features so it will take a while to give a thorough review but I am extremely happy with it so far
This scanner is a lot better then the Bearcat 210 I had 50 years ago.
The receiver is very good, I like the compact size for when I am moving around the house.
