I am new at using scanning radio. Radio is not new as I am an Amateur radio operator.
The radio has many features & there is a bit of a learning curve.
One concern is the radio's key pad buttons. I find myself having a tuff time pressing them and having to use my finger nails in some cases to operate. Raised buttons would help with this issue.
Excellent Radio. GPS is amazing. The app still needs work but it's all a work in progress. The charger and radio are very well made to withstand all kinds of bumps and dinks.
This is probably the tenth Uniden scanner I've owned. I even had the SDS-100 and this SDS-150 is a definite upgrade. The reception quality on this new radio is great across all bands -- including airband AM and the 39-45MHz range. Plus it's nice to NOT have to play around with filters like I had to do on the SDS-100. Being able to manage and operate the scanner using my Android phone is a plus, too!
