UNIDEN R4W DELIVERS

Great radar detector.
Upgraded fr really old passport x50
This R4w is great quiet when it needs to be , alerts are accurate with ample time.
Shout out to Vortex radar to walk through all the incredible ways to set it up for optimum dectection.
Only one complaint is I think volume should be louder. As
if your playing music detector isnt loud enough.
But i cant take away a star for that.
But if firmware could fix it i think it would be awesome

Great performance for the price point. The addition of the WiFi is well done.

Slow shipping for a good product

The shipping was slow direct from Uniden. I had to pester them after nearly two weeks and no “sent” notification, for a $400 product.
That said, I like this radar detector a lot. The “mute memory” function combined with the GPS is handy. And it’s even spotted other radars from around bends in the road. The suction cup mount is sticky which makes it stay in place really well. The app interface feels out dated but is pretty user friendly and allows you to set up your radar settings from your phone.
