The charge cradle I needed arrived very promptly and in perfect condition. I did not know that the jack for the power supply is located out of sight under the base, and at first thought that the wrong item had been sent. I contacted Uniden Customer Support via email, and the next business day I received a courteous and clearly-written explanation, illustrated with photos. That impressed me!
The DC Car Charger that I recently purchased works great with my uniden bearcat BCD 396t scanner. In the last few months, I've ordered several replacement parts for three different BCD 396t scanners such as a couple of the DC Car Charger adapters, several antennas and a belt clip. All of the items purchased have worked perfectly.
Great suction cup. Should be like $20 max. Spent almost $50 on a replacement one that failed.
Very strong alert and sensor. No false alarms either. Small and easy to take in and out of car.
So glad I got this! I’m a NYC travel sport mom, 99% on the road, and I’m constantly getting caught by those damn speed cams @ 1 mph over. My son recommended this because it alerts you until you pass it, advising you of different frequencies/bands, types of traps (speed and red light).
Finally caved into getting a radar detector. So far, it’s been working great for me. I’ve set it to inform/warn me of any type of signal from 2500 feet away. Helps especially when speed cameras are in the area and I’m going a bit over speed limit. Also, it learns to auto mute alerts through its GPS feature. So far, I’ve got no complaints. Awesome product.
Good service. Easy installation.
Day 1 of use already proved worthy. So far impressed with the product.
Wonderful handheld as function goes….a bit of a brick in size but I can overlook that because it’s functional performance is top shelf. I did get the REMY 920S and I like that antenna for my requirements. I can compare to my SDS200 and the 150 is faster. As a rule, I would say the 150 will snag calls the 200 will miss….thAts with stock 200 antenna and 920S on the 150….I set my battery alarm at 3.1 volts and get at least 6hrs-8hrs operation….i have 3 batteries but am only using 2 right now. I have never owned a SDS100 but from what I have observed the 150 is the obvious choice…just the GPS would be worth it to me if used in a moving vehicle or various locations which mine is….legally.
Not only is the 150 a better handheld than the 100 but it’s a better base station than the 200 too. Buy the 150 and have a better scanner either way. Think about that. AC/DC the 150 goes both ways.
I’m in an area where my target is all up in 800Mhz AWIN P25 P1+P2 and that is exactly the 150s strength….im fat and happy. I have a ICOM R30 for lower frequency monitoring such as amateur radio and WX and Air. All of NW AR emergency services are mostly now on AWIN to include Sheriff Ambulance Police Game and Fish Hiway Patrol….all of it. A scanner haven if you have the right scanner.

Well worth the purchase! Great unit, and great customer support!
I bought this scanner in order to be able to receive digital and analog signals. I feel empowered and informed whenever I can understand what's going on around me - the Public Service channels provide that.
I also am interested in government as well as Transportation, Maritime, Aircraft, HAM radio as well as GMRS / FRS calls. There are an increasing number of digital Amateur repeaters that I'd like to tap into as well.
I didn't choose this scanner just because of all the "bells & whistles", but it's nice and actually useful to use the Waterfall feature.
The User's Manual could be a little bit more user friendly and have practical answers to simple questions, such as programming local frequencies into the device (either manually or through Sentinel).
I'm glad that I purchased the extra battery pack for the SDS150, as they can deplete from constant scanner use. I like to swap the battery packs out and use the scanner while the other battery pack is charging.
